UNC Charlotte Hosts 2011 NEH Summer Institute

UNC Charlotte will host a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute, “Computer Simulations in the Humanities.” Both local and visiting speakers will make presentations emphasizing interdisciplinary connections between science and the humanities and detailing the practical dimensions of humanistic research. Several speakers will explore the relevance of computer simulation and modeling as methods of investigation within the humanities. Interested faculty and students are encouraged to take advantage of this free opportunity to learn about new methodological tools that supplement traditional approaches to humanistic inquiry.
