Child and Family Development Conference Set for 2012

The Department of Special Education and Child Development is hosting its annual Child and Family Development Conference March 22-23, 2012.

This year’s theme is “Nurturing What’s Natural: Using the Individuality of Children to Link Learning and Life.” The featured keynote speaker will be Dr. Michael Gurian, New York Times bestselling author of 25 books and co-founder of the Gurian Institute. He has pioneered efforts to bring neuro-biology and brain science into homes, schools, corporations, and public policy.

The deadline to submit paper proposals is December 1, 2011, and presenters will be notified of acceptance by January 15, 2012.
